The Bigband
Through the years, and with the year-long dedication of Charles, the various sections in the big band have grown together to form a high-performing jazz band. Having recorded two CD’s, “Fresh-outta-school” (1999) and “Actual Proof!” (2004), participating in international (e.g. Le Mans, France; Bologna, Italy; Tampere, Finland) and national (e.g. Breda) jazz festivals, supporting many varieties of gala’s, parties, musicals and gigs in jazz bars, Studentproof’s stages are wide-spread. With a repertoire of over 200 arrangements, almost anything is possible.
Mockingbird Quartet

The Mockingbird Quartet has been playing vocal jazz tunes since October 2023. As a mockingbird sings other bird’s songs, the Mockingbird Quartet plays tunes composed by others.
Specialising in cozy ballads, playful swing tunes and gentle bossa, they bring a warm energy to any setting.
Confusion
ConFusion was formed in 2024 by musicians with a common love and interest for fusion music. With
music originating from the 70s up until the current time, the band has a wide variety of music to offer.
The band likes to challenge itself with songs from all-time great fusion players like Billy Cobham and The
Brecker Brothers, but also contemporary artists like Nate Smith and Vulfpeck. With lots of enthusiasm
and joy for music, it is guaranteed that ConFusion will bring a performance of great interplay and jaw-
dropping solos, where the band will fuse together to bring a unique experience to the listener!
Ko&Co.
Ko&Co. is a five-piece student band formed in late 2024, united by our shared love for the tradition of Jazz. Alongside our spin on classic standards you can expect flourishes of fusion, latin rhythms and the blues.
WhatTheFunk?!
WhatTheFunk?! is an up and coming seven piece band formed by musicians from the Eindhoven Student jazz association: Studentproof Jazz. The band’s repertoire spans multiple genres playing RnB/soul classics such as “Smooth Operator” and “Use me” as well as funk classics such as “Never Too Much” and “She’s a super lady”. As a band we strive to deliver a strong performance that will leave you with a Funking good Impression?!
Jazzmine
Jazzmine is a dynamic group of seven passionate musicians, each bringing their own musical background to create a unique blend of sounds. Originally formed as a jazz band more than six years ago, the group’s evolving tastes quickly expanded their repertoire to include soul, blues, funk, and 80s pop. From iconic anthems to hidden gems, their music reflects both genre-defining artists and the lesser-known tracks that have captured their hearts. With a rhythm section that’ll get you dancing and a horn section delivering rich, soulful harmonies, Jazzmine’s performances offer something for everyone, blending energetic, danceable rhythms with softer, more soulful tunes perfect for those who love to listen closely. Whether you’re moving to the groove of our funk tracks, singing along to familiar hits, or enjoying the artistry of improvised solos, each performance showcases a variety of styles and moods that cater to dancers, music lovers, and aspiring musicians alike.

We are a group of musicians with mixed experience levels who put having fun before anything else. Bestowing our own identity upon existing songs, we make sure people dance to our funkified party jazz parts!

Jammed!
Jammed is a four piece band with a shared love for funk and groove😎. Their music is focused on improvising in the moment, exploring new musical boundaries together on stage🎶. Their goal is to convey the energy and passion to the audience and immerse them in the groove!
Defuse
Defuse plays a repertoire of original music, inspired by artists such as Guthrie Govan, John Scofield and Primus. Their music is rooted in jazz and funk, with elements of progressive rock. They offer you a show filled with groove and improvisation.
Spilling Ink
Matilda Ronay and Nikola Panchev write folk music to cope with their engineering studies. Born out of the basement of the TU/e campus they have a background in country, jazz, blues and funk which they use to write in a style that merges genres in a gentle and a minimalistic acoustic setting.

Jazzal
Jazzal has been a part of Studentproof Jazz since 2009.
In its current formation, the band aspires to
be versatile in its song choices, but mainly a lot of jazz fusion and funkiness
can be found in their repertoire. Their songs range
from fusion arrangements like “Gone Under” and
“Love Boat” to songs more widely known by
everyone such as “Boogie Wonderland” and “Toxic”. Bringing out the best in their
performances is what they strive for. The combo
consists of a rhythm section, a three-man horn
section, and a singer. Be there to enjoy the variety of songs Jazzal has to offer!
Aeris Brass Band
Twaalf man sterk, één explosieve sound — Aeris brengt brass met een flinke dosis energie!
Geïnspireerd door techno, pop en alles wat dansbaar is, knalt deze band van het podium met beats, blazers en bakken dynamiek.
De afgelopen jaren bliezen ze de tent omver op talloze festivals en feesten. Denk aan de vibe van Gallowstreet, Meute en Youngblood Brass Band — Aeris staat garant voor sfeer, sweat en smiles!
Naast knallende covers brengen ze ook eigen nummers die het publiek laten springen, dansen en helemaal losgaan.

Down South
Down South is a high-energy blend of country, blues, and rock, inspired by the soulful grit of artists like Chris Stapleton, Larkin Poe, and The Bros. Landreth.
Our original songs are crafted with care — catchy enough to hum the next day, yet rich with detail for the keen listener.
Expect a tight, honest performance filled with subtle touches, tasteful musicianship, and those “what just happened?” moments that make live music magical.
